History
Multiceras S.A. de C.V. was founded in 1978 by Noe Marmolejo, under the original trade name Baldini S.A. de C.V., in partnership with a wax company from the United States. The original company purpose was the export of beeswax and Candelilla wax to the United States and Europe. However, the need for a higher purity in these products, as well as the possibility of commercializing a wider variety of wax products in Mexico, led to a new business approach for the company.
In this manner, Baldini S.A. de C.V. became a manufacturing and commercialization company for natural, petroleum and synthetic waxes, as well as for the resins and polymers utilized in the wax blends that the company started to produce. The first industrial wax producing plant started operations in 1980, in the city of Saltillo-State of Coahuila.

In 1982 the Marmolejo family bought the total stock from Baldini S.A. de C.V., which then turned into a 100% Mexican corporation. Under the new management, the company defined a more aggressive business strategy in both the national and international markets. In order to facilitate all import-export transactions with the United States, a new branch was established in Brownsville, Texas, under the trade name Lang Inc.
In 1984 the Multiceras plant was relocated to the city of Santa Catarina-State of Nuevo Leon, where the plant would operate for a period of 8 years.
Due to the expansion in the company’s operations, in 1989 it was decided to organize two business units: Multiceras S.A. de C.V., specialized in the production and commercialization of wax products and Multiquim S.A. de C.V., specialized in importing and distributing chemical products to the cosmetic, pharmaceutical and food industries. Multiquim was established in Mexico City and operated successfully until year 2002, when it was sold to
Noveon Inc.
In 1992 an industrial piece of land was acquired in the town of Garcia- State of Nuevo Leon, where the Multiceras plant and corporate offices were installed.
For strategic reasons, in January 2000, the wax bowl rings division was separated from Multiceras S.A. de C.V., creating a new independent business unit named Aztec Plumbing S.A. de C.V, serving the plumbing industry with diverse products and services, and with a strong orientation towards the United States
export
market.
In year 2004 Multiceras founded the Candelilla Institute, holding as main goal to improve, in an integral way, the value chain functions of Mexican Candelilla wax.
In the wax emulsions sector, Multiceras has established a strategic alliance with the Canadian Corporation Norjohn Ltd., a member of Walker Industries Holdings Ltd. Supported on this important alliance, business opportunities expand for producing and commercializing wax emulsions in Mexico and Central America.

Looking forward to the future, but with feet well positioned on the ground, Multiceras develops efficient operating practices day after day, with the aim of being more competitive in its specialty world market.
