Candeuba ®: Best of Two Worlds

Candeuba® is a special formulation, developed by Multiceras purely on a vegetable basis, constituted mainly by Candelilla wax and synthetic esters of vegetable origin, which are supplemented by homopolymers of intermediate molecular weight.
The Candeuba name derives from the fusion of two words - Candelilla and Carnauba – with the aim of making reference to a wax mainly constituted by Candelilla wax, but which also incorporates the most valuable properties of carnauba wax for diverse applications.
Candeuba® is a last generation product, designed and developed with the most valuable properties of the two vegetable waxes widely used in industrial applications:
Candelilla Wax |
|
Carnauba Wax |
High hydrocarbon content – Properties of emollience and protection against humidity exchange – High oil retention capacity – Low expansion/contraction coefficient – FDA approved |
|
High esters content – Shining properties – Low resin content - High hardness – Higher emulsification capability - FDA approved

Candeuba® presents a chemical composition ranging between Candelilla wax and carnauba wax, holding equilibrium between the natural hydrocarbon fraction of Candelilla wax and the esters content characteristic of carnauba wax.

Due to its universal nature, Candeuba® is compatible with a wide variety of waxes, and thus it can be blended with: All vegetable and animal waxes - Mineral waxes such as montan wax, paraffin and microcrystalline - Fatty acids and hydrogenated waxes - Synthetic waxes such as polyethylene, oxidized polyethylene, polypropylene, amide base, esters - Homopolymers such as low density polyethylene and polypropylene, polyisobutylene - Copolymers such as ethylene-vinyl-acetates (EVA), ethylene-acrylic acid, ethylene-maleic anhydrides.
Its valuable properties allow the Candeuba to have a wide range of applications, such as, precision foundry, fruit coating, floor polishes, creams for the automotive industry, shoes, leather and wood, cosmetics, coating of pharmacy capsules and pills, among others.
